OF CATERPILLAR AND MEN

"I'm going to love it and keep it and care for it" If you have ever read the book Of Mice And Men, Hailey was a real life Lenny when it came to her caterpillar! Her friend found this caterpillar on a tree outside and Hailey adopted it for a few hours. All she talked about was how cute her caterpillar was. "Dad, don't you think she is adorable" or "Mom I love this caterpillar". It didn't stop. Finally at around seven PM I felt really sorry for the caterpillar because Hailey was holding it and playing with it that I told Hailey she had to put him back outside so it could turn into a butterfly. She woke up the next morning and immediately wanted to go look for another caterpillar. she wanted to love it and keep it and care for it all over again. WOW!

A LETTER FROM THE GOVERNOR

In the state of Washington, grades three through ten take a test called the Washington Assessment of Student Learning or WASL for short. Owen took the math and reading in his fourth grade class this year. I received a letter in the mail with the results of the test. The results are as followed.

READING
passing=400
Owen's score=461 exceeds standards
Math
passing=400
Owen's score=449 exceeds standards.
Because of these awesome scores Owen received a letter signed by the Governor of Washington and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction congratulating him. The letter stated that they are very proud of him and he should be proud of himself. It said that his test scores show his parents and teachers that he is working really hard in school and learning important skills to help him become successful in the future.
I am extremely proud of Owen! He is such a smart kid!

LOOK WHAT I MADE GRANDMA JUDY

Grandma Judy, I went to Michael's to use my gift card to buy a bird house, paint, flowers and decorations. My mom helped me and we made this really pretty bird house. I had fun using my gift card. It was hard for me to decide what I wanted and we were in the store for about an hour. THANK YOU GRANDMA JUDY! I LOVE YOU! Do you like what I made?

OUR TRIP TO CHICAGO

The last day of our visit to Illinois we went to Chicago for the day. We started off at Millennium Park where we played in the fountains and we saw the famous bean made out of steel. We then walked 2 miles to Navy Pier where we ate at the world famous Billy Goat. After lunch the kids rode some rides. After the rides we went to play in yet another fountain and then we walked the two miles back to the car. It was really nice to spend the day with my brother Ryan who lives in the city.
